WIP Job Creation

WIP jobs can be released from Planner’s Workbench or created manually. This
process shows how to create them manually.

Open the Discrete Jobs form as


shown below. The form opens with
a FIND screen. Press the NEW
button.

You can enter your own Job number or press the TAB key to accept the one
Oracle assigns. You must input the assembly, quantity and start date. Save
your work.

You have now


created a Job. To
begin work on the
Job, It must have
a status of
Released.
Change the status
and save your
work.

You can view the component requirements by pressing the COMPONENTS


button. You should see the screen below.

The tabbed regions show


details of the job. For
instance, the Supply Tab
shows the WIP Supply
Type and the subinventory
and locator where the
material is to be
transacted from. You can
also check the Available to
Promise on any of the ATP
enabled items.

You can now process the


Job.

The image to the right


shows how to perform the
Check ATP. After you
have selected your items,
press the CHECK ATP
button. The image below
will appear.

This show no quantity is


available and if a backflush
transaction occurred, the
inventory would drive
negative. You can also
access the Supply/Demand
from this form.
