Learning a New Culture

March Madness
March has been a crazy month. For two weeks in the middle of the month we were visited by two separate spring break groups, one from Arizona, and the other from Oklahoma. The Arizona group consisted of around 15 students and staff, while the group from Oklahoma had around 45 students and staff. Also during the first week of spring break, I was able to reconnect with some friends from the States that were here in the D.R. for a mission trip.

Prayer Requests: Praise: Praise God for a great two weeks of the Spring Break teams, praise God that the campus was peaceful while the spring break teams were here, praise God for all the new believers and students that were able to hear the Gospel Requests: Pray that God will bring another STINT team here next year if it is His will, pray for peace on campus and that there wont be any more strikes, pray that God will continue to allow us to connect more with the new students involved in the movement.

Ministry in the DR The two Spring Break teams that came to the DR have been a great help to the ministry. The increased amount of students from the states allowed us to share the Gospel with students a lot faster than the 6 STINTERS would ever be able to. It was also during this time that we saw a lot of students meet Jesus for the first time. It has been encouraging to see these new believers getting connected to students already involved in the movement and start to deepen their faith in Jesus. One major prayer request that I have for the ministry here is to pray against spiritual warfare. We feel the enemy is fighting against us as there was a strike on campus right before the Spring Break teams arrived and another 3 strikes on campus right after they left. These strikes greatly limit our time on campus and limit our ability to connect with the students the spring break teams met with and were able to share the Gospel with.
