A Waste is anything which is discarded after use OR Which have no economic value .

SOLID (NON HAZARDOUS)WASTE:

Any garbage,refuse,sludge from waste treatment plant or air pollution control facility and other discarded material,including solid,liquid,semi-solid, or contained gaseous material resulting from industrial,commercial,mining and agricultural operation and from community activities.

MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE:

MSW is commonly known as trash or garbage and consists of everyday items such as product packaging ,grass cropping,furniture,clothing,bottles , food scraps,newspapers,appliances,paint and batteries.

HAZARDOUS WASTE:

Hazardous wastes are those that can cause harm to humans or the environment. It is generated by chemical manufacturing companies,petrolium refiniries,papermills,smelters,and other industries. CHARACTERISTICS:1. TOXIC 2. REACTIVE 3. IGNATIBLE 3. CORROSIVE

BIO-MEDICALWSTE:

It includes surgical dressing,cultures,biological tissues,needles and other sharps.clinical wastes can be human or animal origin.

INDUSTRIAL WASTE:
Both hazardous and non-hazardous wastes are arises from industrial sources.hazardous wastes like pesticides,polish,paints,oils. Non -hazardous waste like plastic,rubber,glass,etc.

ILLEGAL DUMPED WASTE:

Illegal dumping is the disposal of solid and hazardous waste in a non permitted area. Wastes such as scrap tyres,bulky items may be illigally dumped because they banned from landfill & their proper management can be costly.

 The

outdated computer equipment is ending up in landfills or overseas and is contaminating the environment.

Waste management is the collection, transport, processing, recycling, or disposal of waste materials.

We must minimize the generation of waste at the source by using minimal resources. We should not use what we do not need. so,the goal of every society should be to reach a low waste or no waste society.
