Attorney General Bob McDonnell has asked that I respond in his behalf. ‘Tho Office of Attorney General does not discuss legal adviee given to our clients. Our office is restricted by law as to who we provide legal counsel and services. Therefore any advice that may have been given to the State Police in this recent matter is privileged. ‘However, in his individual capacity Attomey General McDonnell is a vigorous supporter of religious liberty and the right of the clergy to freely practice their faith.
