The Bible and Metaphysics

In the Prologue to the Gospel of John, the Author provides a metaphysical account

of Creation based upon the First Cause, The Logos (Reason), Jesus Christ:

In the beginning was the Logos

and the Logos was in God’s Presence,

and the Logos was God.

The Logos was present to God

In God in the Beginning.

Through the Logos all things

came into being,

And apart from the Logos,

nothing came into being.

(New American Bible paraphrased)

Now, it is clear from the foregoing that Jesus Christ the Logos (Reason) is the First

Cauise which caused the Universe to come into existence, preceding the Big Bang.
