What is Poetry?
Poetry is the oldest form of literature which is integrated to many aspects of human daily life. Due to its intimacy and wide use in daily life, poetry is very complex but is taken for granted. Consequently, a universal definition has never been formulated. Every trial to formulate poetry only produces one or more characteristics of poem. Some definitions:
a literary work that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of experience or a specific emotional response through language chosen and arranged for its meaning, sound, and rhythm. a way of using language, in the sense that it says more and says it more intensely than does ordinary language.
