The United States also moved away from its passive stance that it had taken at the beginning of the war, instead becoming more active in the politics of the world, for example, the attempts to contain communism in Korea and Vietnam. colonization was also at an end. The era of

relinquishing foreign territories that they could no longer afford after the war, and the United States followed their lead. World War Two was a vital time to history, not only because of the triumph over Hitler and the horrors of war, but also because it changed so much in the world. Nothing would ever be

the same again, and whether it was worth it or not, the war brought the planet into a new age and one step closer in the direction of the future.
