Case Phenomenon Description

3G high RRC power congestion due to antenna problem Country B operator S WCDMA network, RNC RRC success rate degrade, query in Nastar, due to one cell suddenly show high RRC failure, all because of RRC power congestion. Meantime high RTWP alarm showed in M2000.

Alarm Analysis

Major alarmRF Module Rx Branch RTWP Difference Too High All RRC failure due to power congestion, because RTWP is high, occupied all uplink power resource, cause user cannot access into this cell. Trace RTWP in LMT, F1 & F2 both high, as shows below:

External interference suspected, send team use YBT to scan the interference of this site, but not interference found. F1(9763)

Check the RTWP of surrounding cells, all RTWP & RRC failure is normal. If external interference exist, the surrounding cells also suffer, but nothing happened. Hardware issue suspected. Process Contact with RAN team, they change the antenna of problem cell, then RTWP is normal, no more power congestion

Suggestion & Summary

If there is external interference, the around sites will all suffer, especially co-site cells. We cannot resolve this issue without RAN team, more communication needed in located the problem.
