Used as remote access devices, to allow maintainers to call into the DEFINITY system. A number of serial ports are available, allowing adjunct equipment (such as AUDIX, CMS, etc) to be connected simultaneously. A port is also provided for direct connection of a system management terminal. The 2700 range has now superseded the original Tracker range. The new 2700 offers the same functionality, as well as: Ethernet connectivity (BNP608B) High speed operation High level security for dial-in access to LAN connected equipment (BNP608B) 4 hour in-built UPS (BNP608B) 32MB data storage capacity Multi-tasking and multi-user operation

New Tracker Range

The manufacturer has now discontinued the previous Tracker range; - as of the date of this bulletin any outstanding orders for either BNP606 or BNP608 that cannot be fulfilled using the original equipment will be fulfilled using the new equivalents the original prices will be honoured. Any new orders for a BNP606, BNP608 or BNP609 must be ordered as either a BNP606B or BNP608B. The Tracker 2700 has been designed in such a way as to enable rapid development of new facilities as well as the continuous development of the software to meet the challenges of new technology. Two models will be available from Crane, a 2 x serial port, desktop version part code BNP606B, and a 4 x serial port, 19 rack mount version with Ethernet connectivity part code BNP608B. Both models have a 9 way d-type connector for direct connection of a system management terminal (earlier models had a 25 way).
