A Tribute to Veterans

Come join the Bonnet Carr Spillway Radio Control Club in honoring our veterans on Saturday, March 24 at the Bonnet Carr Spillway. Veterans from the VAs Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Reserve, La., will be coming out for the event, which will feature a model airplane show and much more! All veterans and their family and friends are invited to attend. Lunch will be provided for the rst 200 veterans by Jacobs World Famous Andouille & Sausage of LaPlace, La., Family and friends are encouraged to bring their own lunch; however, they are welcome to eat the provided lunch if there is extra. Major Luis Gonzalez of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, St. Charles Parish President V.J. St. Pierre, Jr. & National World War II Museum representative, Courtney Boe will be on site Saturday, so please join us in making this day truly special!

Directions: If coming from New Orleans, take I-10 West and merge onto I-310. Once
on I-310, take the Norco exit (exit 2) to US-61 and continue west. Turn left at the third light, Apple Street. Take Apple Street until it ends at River Road and make a right. Follow this road approximately three miles, past the Spillway ofce. Bleakley Field will be across from the Spillway structure, approximately three quarters of a mile past the Spillway ofce.
