CAMP PANACAN, Davao City- 10th Infantry (AGILA) Division, in collaboration with the Mindanao Commission on Women (MCW), joined the march in advocating womens active involvement in environmental decision-making and peace efforts. This is also to culminate this years 102nd International Womens Month Celebration initiated by the City Government of Davao with the theme: Panahon sa Pagbag-o sa Pagbag-o sa Panahon: Hagit sa Kababayen-an. We express our solidarity with women who have played a vital role in delivering our peace and development efforts to every community in our area of responsibility, 10th ID Spokesperson Lt. Col. Women in 10th ID are valued and that is reflected thru various activities and rights given to them in line with our Gender and Development Program (GAD). We also support their initiatives such as projects that uphold the Youth Sector like the Youth for Peace Movement (YfPM) and empowering women by teaching livelihood programs in various communities and even inside the Davao Penal Colony (DAPECOL). He said. He further added that 1003rd Infantry Brigade had already started its livelihood program, such as making pouch bags from coloured beads, inside DAPECOL to help female inmates earn a living even inside the penitentiary.
