THEE WORD FOR THE WEEK

The Gift Rekindled 2 Timothy 1:1-7 March 12-16, 2012

Monday Read 2 Timothy 1:1-7

These are some of Pauls last writings before his death. This letter was written in 66/67 A.D. during Neros persecution of Christians. Who is Timothy? Who is Timothys mother? Who is his grandmother? Were they believers? What do you learn about Paul from these verses? What is his relationship to Timothy? What do you learn about Timothys character in verses 18-20? In 1 Timothy 4:14 what does Paul warn Timothy about? What does he say about the depth of dedication Timothy is to have to the Gospel? How does Paul instruct Timothy to handle himself with these instructions? What does Paul warn Timothy to guard against? Who is worthy of all honor and our unfaltering loyalty? What is Paul leading up to by urging timothy over and over about how he is to live and how he is to minister? What is Paul referring to when he says to stir up the gift of God which is in you? How instrumental had Paul been in Timothys spiritual development? In his ministry? What does Paul remind Timothy of concerning the way he is to serve God and minister in His name? Do you need to be reminded to rekindle your gift that is within you?
