Art History 1430

Andrew Smith 3/8/12

I was struck in traffic in the interstate near Millerville when I finally saw art history in effect in my life. Being stuck, I was able to observe my surroundings which is where I saw to the far left and right of me were twenty feet tall walls. These werent any ordinary walls because adorned on these walls were icons of Louisiana which made me realize that they were actually relief sculptures. The stone wall itself while bland in color had carved into icons of our state bird, the Pelican, and our state flower, the Magnolia, and other little idiosyncrasies of our great state. Now because of Art History, I am always checking out the landscape whenever Iam stuck in traffic.
