This letter was extremely important in my website because it gave me an idea of what happened after the Civil War for all the slaves and the masters. The primary source also showed that even though the slaves were free, they still weren t treated as equals.

This primary source gave me a direct view of the thoughts of Frederick Douglass who played an important part in the revolt against slavery. This source was important to my website because it helped me understand what he actually thought about the whole revolt and his account of being a slave and his fight to obtain freedom.

Frederick Douglass was a very important figure in the revolt against slavery and this article from his first paper gave me feel for what he dedicated his paper to- the cause of blacks in America which was very useful in my website. This primary source gives me an actual article from his newspaper which made me more aware of the overall idea of the newspaper and the fight against slavery.

This primary source gave me a view of the exact words Abraham Lincoln wrote when he freed the slaves in all of the colonies. Abraham Lincoln was very important in the fight against slavery and this source gave me an understanding of why he was freeing the slaves of America and what the slaves had been working towards all along- obtaining freedom- which was useful to my website.

This webpage was very useful in the making of my website because it gave me access to an actual song written by slaves. It was one of the songs that Harriet Tubman actually sang while helping other slaves escape slavery.

This photograph was very useful in the making of my website because it is an actual photograph of Abraham Lincoln. It also gives others who are looking at my website a picture of him to see in case they have never seen what he looks like.

This picture shows the large operation of slaves working on a plantation. It was useful to my website because it shows how large the fields of crops were and how many slaves were needed to pick such crops.

This secondary source was very useful because it gave me a good understanding of what happened in the Civil War. It also gave me a slave narrative about the worst thing the slave saw while at a certain plantation.

This secondary source gave me information on how the slaves rebelled on a daily basis and information on the major rebellions such as Nat Turner s Rebellion. It also provided pictures within the book that were very useful in my website.

This secondary source was very useful because it gave me information on background of slavery, and when slavery first arrived in the colonies.

This secondary source was useful to my website because it gave me information on all the major rebellions and explained what caused them. It gave me a better understanding of the

purposes and goals behind the rebellions as well as the punishments of the rebels after the rebellions had ended.

This secondary source about slavery was important to my website because it gave me a better idea of the effects of slavery in America and the slaves struggles to obtain freedom. I also got some pictures of slaves and runaway flyers that were very useful in the making of my website.
