La provincia de Cuenca se encuentra situada en la comunidad de CastillaLa Mancha, entre las provincias de Guadalajara, Toledo, Ciudad Real y Albacete,

En esta misma zona se pueden visitar poblaciones de origen noble, donde pasear por sus callejuelas y plazas admirando su legado arquitectnico. En la comarca de la Alcarria existe un importante patrimonio arquitectnico (civil, militar y religioso). Su paisaje es variado y cambiante pues podemos disfrutar de la mezcla de colores de las grandes extensiones de cultivo, en el sur de la comarca; as como, de las escarpadas paredes rocosas que predominan en el norte. El colorido de los campos sembrados de mimbre y girasoles, el sabor de la exquisita miel y los estimados quesos de leche de oveja, con denominacin de origen, sorprenden a propios y extraos. La Mancha est situada en la mitad sur de la provincia, donde podemos encontrar la espectacular e inmensa llanura manchega, cubierta de campos de viedos, bellos paisajes rocosos y un importante patrimonio histrico. The province of Cuenca is located in the region of Castilla-La Mancha, along with the provinces of Guadalajara, Toledo, Ciudad Real and Albacete. Its borders also coincide with the region of Valencia to the East and that of Madrid to the West. Owing to its extensive size (17,000 square kilometers) a large variety of natural spots and landscapes are to be found, as well as villages flavored with intimate palaces, noble houses, and castles.

In the mountainous zones there are abundant natural areas awash in the many tributaries of the Tajo River. Extremely beautiful landscapes defined by impressive gorges, imposing canyons, narrow passes and rapids, allow for the enjoyment of the surroundings. A huge variety of outdoor activities can also be realized here (caving, horseback riding, rappelling, kayaking, rock climbing, hiking, hang-gliding, and more). Protected natural parks are also available. In this same area, it is possible to visit towns with noble beginnings, strolling through their narrow streets and plazas, admiring their architectural heritage. In the area of La Alcarria, there is a significant architectural heritage (civil, military and religious). The terrain is varied and unpredictable. As such, we can enjoy the combination of colors in the vast extensions of planted fields in the South of the area. And in the North, steep rocky cliffs dominate. The reds of fields planted with wicker and sunflowers, the exquisite flavor of honey and famous cheeses made of sheep milk that carry the denominacin de origen label, delight locals and foreigners alike.
