For this update, Ian would like to tell a story of how G, rightfully so, steals all the glory from us and gives it to Himself: I had been meeting with the friend faithfully every week for a few hours to discuss the Book when we decided to leave the country for 2 weeks. The meetings with this friend had been very fruitful, so I was a little anxious about losing any ground with him . I left him with a copy of the Word and encouraged him to read it every day. Over the break I pr*yed constantly that all my work wouldnt be lost over the break. Returning from our trip, I called him up and arranged a meeting to see what the damage was. As I walked up to our meeting place he called to me while I was still a little ways off, Ei boi khub bhalo! (This book is Good)! He went on to tell me that he read the book everyday and began to read it with his family and that they all marveled at the words they read. He reported that they all got a good feeling when reading it. I hadnt seen this sort of response and excitement out of him yet. It was exciting for me also. G used His word to draw him closer to J! And I didnt do anything! G did it all! We had a great conversation after this, one that included this comment: Ive been reading about Peter! Peter is a very bad person. I asked him why and he retold me the famous story of Peter denying J 3 times. This brought up questions in my mind, so I asked, Do you think Peter is in Heaven? NO way! He quickly replied. Why? I followed up with. He interestingly replied, Because He didnt believe in Jesus Despite the potential doctrinal concerns of this statement, I was overjoyed by it, because for the first time that I had seen he equated J, and only J, with our salvation! From here, I walked him through the R*mns Road verses and explained further how we can be saved. Hearing this, he expressed his desire to know J more fully. I could tell something clicked in his head. Just when we think that our work could be spoiled , He reminds us that it is His work! As His Word says, At that time, I will draw News all men to myself

They are requesting supporters of the school and its mission to spend time in pr*yer for the school on this day.

This past month Ian traveled to the Dinajpur district of Bangladesh. He went with the Year 6 class of 18 students. They stayed there for 5 days and experienced a different side of Bangladesh than they are used to. Ian was blessed to be able to be in charge of leading the devotionals each night. The theme for the week was God as Father and Us as Children. The students studied the Book and memorized scripture. It was encouraging to see the astonishing capacity that children have for spiritual matters. We believe the HS worked through this and that G will continue to use these lessons as He calls these children to Himself. In unrelated news, the school over the past month has been under attack from the Bangladeshi government. A notice was given to the principal saying that we had two weeks to vacate the 3 buildings or they will be demolished due to an accusation that the school had been operating in a non-commercial zone. The school believes that there is a corrupt, ulterior motive behind all of this. Due to Gs providence the school was given 6 months more to find a solution. This past month we had the blessed opportunity to attend two mslm weddings. We were blessed to be a part of this and had a great time meeting new people and learning about the wedding rituals. This allowed us a privileged look into the lives of the Bengali people that most dont get the chance to see. We are very excited for the new couples, who seem very happy. We were able to give the new couple the best gift we could give, a copy of the Book. We are praying that it would work its way into their relationship and are praying for open doors to share Gs thoughts about what a marriage looks like for His glory. Many more
