February 9, 2012 711 locals benefit Armys medical mission

CAMP PANACAN, Davao City- 711 residents of Monkayo, Compostela Valley Province benefit in the medical and dental mission initiated by the 25th Infantry Battalion in collaboration with the local government unit (LGU). The weeklong medical mission that started on Monday covered four barangays to include Tubo-tubo, Babag, Union and Naboc. The mission consists of minor surgeries including circumcision, medical and dental checkup to include tooth extraction among others. 25th IB Commanding Officer Lt. Col. Cesar A. Molina lauded the said event who also commends the contribution of the Municipal Health Office (MHO) of Monkayo, 10th Infantry Divisions Medical and Dental Team and the Eastern Mindanao Commands Dental and Medical Team. This is a joint effort with our partners who never fail to provide assistance in delivering basic services to the residents of far flung areas, Lt. Col. Molina said. He further added that there will be more concerted efforts that will be pushed through thru the Peace and Development Outreach Program (PDOP). You can expect that more communities will benefit and that more needs be addressed thru PDOP that is why we continue to collaborate our efforts with the LGUs, Lt. Col. Molina stressed. -End-
