You are responsible for selecting one of the following assignments to complete. Be sure that your project contains your name and class period. 1. Write a story of at least 500 words using personification. You may chose to select an inanimate object, such as a dog, that talks throughout the story. You may also choose to write a story that uses various examples of personification throughout the story. The final copy of the story must be either written in blue or black ink on lined paper (skipping lines) or if you have access to a computer at home, maybe typed and double spaced. 2. Create a poem using personification. The poem can be an acrostic, a rhyming poem, a free verse poem, or any other type of poetry that you have learned about before. Look at the examples of the poetry that I have provided to you in order to get an idea. You DO NOT have to write your poem in the same format. 3. Draw a picture depicting personification. If you select this option, your picture must be done very neatly and with plenty of detail. You should also have some type of caption underneath your drawing to explain the personification: it could be a paragraph, a portion of a story you created or even a poem. The drawing must be in color. 4. Create a comic strip that centers around personification. The comic must be at least four scenes and must include captions and speech bubbles, where necessary. Your comic strip should have a title and your name as the author. Be sure that your drawings are neatly done and in color. 5.
