I. Product Introduction

1.1 Product Overview


ASENs-480 Smart Sensor has 4 analog input (AI), 8 digital input (DI) and 4 digital
output (DO) channels. ASENs-910 Smart Meter can detect various electric
information and deliver data via internet, and can be applied for Single-phase / 2-wire,
Single-phase / 3-wire, 3-phase / 3-wire, 3-phase / 4-wire. Both the instant and historic
electric data could be monitored through webpage at ease.

1.2 Product Feature


 Detect Function
 This Smart Meter can detect data such as one/three voltage, one/three
current, power (W.VA.VAR), power factor, power consumption, demand.
 Communication Interface
 The series have internet, RS-485, and ZigBee interfaces.
 USB Storage
 This Smart Meter has USB storage interface. All data can be saved as CSV
file, downloaded via FTP, and opened as Excel file.
 Instant Monitoring
 Web server is embedded in this Smart Meter which enables users to log in
to obtain instant electric data.
 Receive by Local Server
 User can assign any LAN computer as server for receiving and storing data.
By installing a program(Windows XP/7)provided one can receive and
store data transmitted via the Smart Meter (only type ZU、NU)every
minute.
 Clouding Instant Monitoring
 The up-to-minute electric data, historic data and statistic data including
daily/monthly power consumption can be monitored through internet.
 Electric Data Illustration
 The program provided by ASENs is capable to illustrate the data stored in
USB or server into diagrams for energy management and analytic use.
 High Accuracy
 Accuracy of KWH ±1.0% (under PF=1.0 and full scale).
 Accuracy of Power (W) ±1.0% ( under PF=1.0 and full scale).

Chapter 2 Meter Installation

、Caution
2.1、
 Professional engineer is needed
 Turn off the power source before Installation
 Personal protective equipment is needed
 All electric wires and CTs must be installed to the power meter before
installed to the power panel
 Power meter should be setup in a case to keep off the human touch

【Caution!!】

1. All electric wires and CTs must be installed to the power meter
before installed to the power panel
2. Never Let the CT contacts become open circuit when there is any
current pass through the CT
3. Confirm the phase sequence (positive phase sequence)
4. Confirm the current direction

Step4:Connect the network cable before turn on the power source


Step5:After turning on the power source, it needs an infrared remote
controller to modify “Electric power type”. Setting steps as below.

3.3 Linking description


3.3.1 Temperature sensor

3.3.2 Digital Input Contact(DI)
The digital input(DI) contact could be input AC signal from 90~240 AC. The DI1 and DI2 are
defined to detect the air condition operation status. The DI3 and DI4 are defined to detect alarm
status. The DI5 is defined to detect the trigger status. While the DI5 channel receives the trigger,
DO3 and DO4 will be close. While the signal are input to the contact, the DI indicator will be
lighting.

3.3.3 Digital Output Contact


The max DO relay contact capacity is 2A for 250VAC Resistive Load and 4A for 28VDC. All the
DO channel are B contact(normal close) and the contact will be close while the device lost power.
While the DO opening(break the contact), the indicator will be lighting.
If there are more relay contact capacity necessary, the SSR(solid state relay) or Magnetic
Contactor is necessary to link between the DO contact and equipment.

3.4 Controller operation
Function 1: Temperature control
1. While the temperature sensor is higher than the max value set in the device or receive from the
central server, the DO1 and DO2 will be close to turn on the air condition.
2. While the temperature sensor is lower than the min value set in the device or receive from the
central server, the DO1 and DO2 will be open to to turn off the air condition.

Function 2: Trigger operation


1. While the DI5 receive the input signal(90~240VAC), the DO3 and DO4 will be close to operate
the alarm for 30 minutes.
2. The DI3 and DI4 are defined to detect the alarm signal input.

Chapter 4 Device Setting
There is a web server installed in the device. Users can set the network, temperature,
server IP, USB disk storage ,login ID and password by login the web server.
4.1 Search device
Step 1: search the device in the local lan(the default IP of the device is 192.168.1.10)

After linking the device an PC to the local lan, press the and the following
picture will be displayed.

Step 2:
-press the 『Detect』 bottom to detect the device in the local lan. The local lan means
the device and PC in the same subnet. If there are any device to be detected and the
following picture will be display.

Hit: Before logging in the device, the PC IP had be set the same subnet as the device.

-Modify the device IP: Select the device and press the『Set IP』 button and fill the IP.
After filling the IP, press the 『OK』button to finish the setting IP process.

- Modify the device mask: Select the device and press the『Set MASK』 button and fill the
mask. After filling the mask, press the 『OK』button to finish the setting mask process.

Step 3:login the device


Select the device and press the 『IE』button to enter the device web server.(IE browsing
and Firefox is enable). After the pressing process, the following picture would be
displayed. Fill the ID and password to enter the device(the default ID: admin and default
password is empty)

After filling the correct ID and password, the following picture would be displayed.
There are Ethernet information of the device in the picture.

、Set Network

Press the 『Network』
』in the left frame and the following picture displayed.
If the DHCP function is enable in the IP router, set the 『DHCP』 enable and press
『save』to storage the setting.
1. If the static IP address would be set in the device, please fill all the information in the
device.
- IP address
- Subnet mask
- Gateway address
- DHCP client set to be 『Disable』
2. If use PPPoE to connect the WAN, please fill all the information.
- Set 『Connection Mode』 to be 『Enable』
- User ID
- Password
- Service Name

3. Press『SAVE』button to storage all the parameter and display the picture. Please press
『Reboot』 to run the new parameters.

、Server IP Setting

Press the 『Server』and the right frame would show the following picture. The device
connected to the server and waited for the command from the server. The server should be set a
fix IP and the IP and port number would be filled.

Press 『data』 button and show all the information, include the meter information and
controller status. There are current, voltage, power, power factor, KWH and power demand in
the smart meter and temperature 1~4 and DI1~DI4 and DO1~DO4 status in the smart sensor.

、Download the storage data in the device

Step 1: press『Download』in the left frame of the picture.

Step 2: press『Download Data』in the right frame. Fill the ID and password to display all the
storage data in the device.(The default ID: admin,The default password is empty)
