The science that deals with the correct use of language both in conversation and writing. SENTENCE: When we speak or write, we use words. We generally use these words in groups. A group of words which makes complete sense is called a sentence. Eg:Balaji ate an apple. Maithili listened to the radio

Subject

and Predicate:The part which names the person or thing we are speaking about is called the subject of the sentence and the part which tells something about the subject is called the predicate of the sentence. Eg: Badrinath plays football. Priya saw her old friend.

A noun is a word used as the name of a person, place or a thing. Nouns are divided into five kinds: Eg:Tree, Horse, Goodness, Tamil Nadu,Priya An adjective is a word that qualifies a noun and points out the quality, number or kind of the person, place or thing represented by the noun. Eg:Indian,Black,Beautiful
