    Flood Tide Rise; Soldiers on Rescue Operations


    Soldiers conduct disaster rescue operations on the flash flood affected areas of two provinces today brought about by continuous rains. Selected barangays of the municipalities of Asuncion, New Corella, and Kapalong of Davao del Norte, Compostela Valley are affected areas of the latest disaster. The National Roads from Asuncion going Laak, Comval and San Isidro, DDN are flooded as of this morning. One hundred ten families in Kapalong have evacuated and are in Central Elementary School of Brgy. Maniki, Kapalong, DDN and 22 families have been evacuated from Brgy Capungagan. Disaster rescue and response units from the 60th Infantry Battalion and 1003rd Infantry Brigade are deployed on the said areas in partnership with Local Government Units to respond to the latest disaster. -EndReleased by: LTC LYNDON V.
