Mohd Nurul Amri Bin Rodzi D20101037539 GROUP B SEM 1 2011/2012 Reflections on PBL.

Programme-based learning is something new to me. Im surprised to know that this program is a way of learning and has been used by many countries for example in singapore which this PBL has replaced lecture in many schools and universitys. Perhaps this is a good to test whether this PBL can be conducted effectively in UPSI. There are soo many interesting things for me during this PBL sessions, firstly for me this PBL sessions encourage persons to give opinions and discussion among fellow students in a group which is similar with study group but in more spesific wau because the students have been given a scenario to work on. This discussion will enable students to share their knowledge and understanding of an issue raised thereby resulting ideas combined to obtain an interesting variety of result. However, each program has its own drawbacks in this case , the PBL sessions will not be effective when a member of the group does not give good full cooperation during the implementation of these programs. In addition, these programs must consume a too long time to complete investigating an issue arises if an effective result wanted to be obtained. For me there much rooms for improvement in this PBL sessions , students should be given more chances and times to present their result, other than that different group should be given different part of the scenario to be worked on so that more part can be covered in short amount of times.
