Thanksgiving Readers Theater By Brenda B.

Covert NOTE: This script can be used with many children, or it can be adjusted to use with just four students. The "chorus" may be one or more students. The same three students can answer the teacher's question each time, or you may choose to give each line to a different student. The "Teacher" may be the classroom teacher, or another student may be chosen for that part. CAST Chorus Teacher 3 to 12 Students Chorus: Teacher: Student #1: The Pilgrims gave thanks. Why were they thankful? They were still alive after a long trip and cold winter!

They had made friends with the Indians. They had a good harvest. We give thanks. Why are you thankful? I am thankful for my family. They love me, and I love them. I am thankful for my home. It is a safe place to be. I am thankful for the food I eat. I love _______! (Fill in with favorite food) We give thanks. What makes you thankful?
