WATERSHED INTERNATIONAL YOUTH FORUM Theme: Water Matters!

February 10, 2011 Rationale: Watersheds play a very important role for water sustainability. Hence, watershed preservation and rehabilitation efforts are imperative in order to keep water flowing for the next generations. Despite its importance, watershed denudation persists to be a problem not only in the Philippines but in other countries as well. Due this, global water crisis continues to loom. The youth being the primary heirs of the future are urged to take the lead in reviving the watersheds in order to assure water sustainability. Having them in the frontline will help strengthen the battle against the continuing degradation of forest covers. This can only be had if the youth themselves know their specific roles and obligations pertaining this precious resource. Thus, this forum is conceptualized inorder to raise their awareness and involvement. Objectives: The forum specifically aims to achieve the following: 1.) 2.) 3.) 4.)
