Starr Gillson is a familiar face to
Time Changes On the Horizon many people who visit Sheridan
Students will be released at 1:25 p.m. on
Thursday, October 30, as that is the end of the
marking period.
Students will not be in session on Friday, October
31, as we will be holding additional parent/teacher
conferences in the morning.
On Nov. 4, our school day will be extended by
10 minutes in the afternoon. Students will attend
school from 8:55 a.m. — 4:05 p.m. That new time
will be in effect for the remainder of the year.
Kolbe Joins First Grade
Amy Kolbe is the new teacher in first grade. She
joins Sheirdan from Stanton Elementary School,
where she taught Young Fives on a part-time basis.
Kolbe substitute taught at Sheridan for several
years and is also a high 7
school volleyball coach.
The first grade

and 29 students, were
divided among three
teachers. Classes are
Elementary. She worked in the office
until five years ago when she moved
to the middle school to replace a
secretary who left the district. Mrs.
Gillson now splits her day between
the middle school (morning) and
Sheridan (afternoon). So, if you come
in and see a familiar face, make sure
you welcome her back to Sheridan
