Web Design Process

1. Initial Consultation
• During the first rounds of consultation, the client specifies the goals
and objectives of the website and his expectations out of the designer.
A brief company/products profile is helpful.
2. Design Development

• After the initial briefs, the designer mockups some basic layout
concepts of the website. May detail out colors and fill in dummy data.
3. Design Selection & Finalization

• After the initial "Mockup" is designed, the client reviews it. After the
revisions as necessary are made and then the client provides Final
Approval and these finalized designs are used as templates for further
production.
4. Content Provisioning
• The client provides all the content to be used on the website.
5. Web Development
• All the second / third level pages, forms etc are created based on the
designs finalized by the client.
6. Delivery
• The HTML pages with CSS form the static working website. This, along
with the images, photos etc used in the site are submitted by the
designer in the form of a CD.
i. The files will be HTMs, CSS,
ii. Images (GIF & JPEG-for photos)
iii. SWFs if required.
