Objectives: I can prove that lines are parallel. I can distinguish parallel lines from non-parallel lines.

Converse of the Corresponding Angles Postulate If corresponding angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel.

Group assignment to be completed at home: Prove the converse of the Alternate Interior Angles Theorem: If alternate interior angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel. Prove the converse of the Alternate Exterior Angles Theorem: If alternate exterior angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel. Prove the converse of the Same-Side Interior Angles (Consecutive Angles) Theorem: If same-side interior angles (consecutive angles) are congruent, then the lines are parallel. Prove the converse of the Same-Side Exterior Angles Theorem: If same-side exterior angles are congruent, then the lines are parallel. Textbook Exercises: 165-166(3-8,10-15,19,21)
