Agricultural University Zamorano to Host Symposium Leading agricultural university to host symposium to examine impact of Nippon Fo undation scholarship

program. Tegucigalpa, Honduras, October 06, 2011 -- Leading agricultural university, Zamo rano, will host a symposium on November 18-19, 2011 to examine the impact of its scholarship program funded by the Nippon Foundation. The scholarship program be gan in 2000 and is concluding with this year s 2011 graduates. The symposium will ta ke place at the Zamorano University Campus. The Nippon Foundation sponsors higher education scholarships for youth from vari ous countries. Zamorano has organized this symposium to celebrate the alliance w ith The Nippon Foundation and to honor Ryoichi Sasakawa and Norman Borlaug s great l egacies of service and commitment to bettering the lives of rural poor through e ducation, research and outreach programs. The event will also assess the scholar ship program s impact on scholars education, professional and personal lives, as well s impact on the region and beyond. Symposium participants include leaders in sustainable agricultural development f rom major public and private institutions and Zamorano graduates who excelled in their studies and achieved professional success in the agriculture sector.
