RIFLE USAGE/DISTRIBUTION
RIFLE DISTRIBUTE: RIFLES WILL BE DISTRIBUTED APPROXIMATELY AT 2:53PM. CADETS WILL BE ISSUED A PERMANENT RIFLE BOTH M1-GARAND AND DAISY, EACH CADET IS RESPONSIBLE FOR REMEMBERING HIS/HER RIFLE. CADETS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO POINT, THROW, AND PURPOSELY DROP ANY GIVEN RIFLE, AT ANYTIME. CADETS WILL RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING CONSEQUENCES IF CAUGHT DOING ANY INAPPROPRIATE THINGS WITH THE RIFLES. FIRST OFFENSE THE CADET(S) WILL BE ISSUED ONE 341, SECOND OFFENSE THE CADET(S) WILL BE ISSUED A SECOND 341 PLUS 10 EXTRA DEMERITS, THIRD OFFENSE THE CADET(S) WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE PRACTICE IMMEDIATELY AND WILL BE PLACED ON PROBATION.
ATTENDANCE
TEAM MEMBERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND BOTH PRACTICES EACH WEEK, IF UNABLE TO ATTEND PLEASE NOTIFY THE COMMANDER, NCO, CO ASST. NCO'S, OR EQUIPMENT MANAGER ASAP OTHERWISE YOU WILL BE PENALIZED. YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TWO UNEXCUSED ABSENCES BEFORE YOU ARE PLACED ON PROBATION. YOU WILL ALSO NOT RECEIVE YOUR MERITS FOR THE PRACTICE THAT YOU HAVE MISSED. ONCE YOU ARE PLACED ON PROBATION YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE THE MERITS FOR THE NEXT PRACTICE THAT YOU ATTEND, THIS PRACTICE WILL DETERMINE IF YOU WILL STILL BE ON PROBATION OR NOT. CADETS WHOM ATTEND PRACTICES WILL RECEIVE 4 MERITS PER PRACTICE.
DRILL
DRILL WILL TAKE PART OF THE ARMED DRILL TEAM. THIS TEAM WILL CONSIST OF TWO TYPES OF DRILL (REGULATION AND EXHIBITION). REGULATION DRILL WILL MUTUALLY CONSIST OF BASIC DRILL WHILE EXHIBITION DRILL CONSIST OF THE TEAMS CREATIVITY TO PERFORM.
CHAIN OF COMMAND
THERE IS A CHAIN OF COMMAND TO BE USED FOR REPORTING PURPOSES. IF YOU FEEL YOU NEED TO DISCUSS SOMETHING PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEE THE ARMED DRILL TEAM COMMANDER IF NOT PRESENT REPORT TO THE NCO OF THE TEAM. THERE ARE POSITIONS IN THE FLIGHT THAT CAN BE FILLED AND THEY ARE AS FOLLOWED, NCO, CO ASST. NCO'S, AND EQUIPMENT MANAGER.
CREATIVITY
CREATIVITY WILL ALSO BE A LARGE FACTOR WITHIN THIS DRILL TEAM. EVERYONE ON THE TEAM MAY MAKE SOME CONTRIBUTIONS/SUGGESTIONS TO THE TEAM. ALL IDEAS MAY OR MAY NOT BE USED TO CREATE THE DRILL TEAMS EXHIBITION SEQUENCE.
GOALS
ARMED DRILL TEAM WILL BE ASSIGNED 3-5 GOALS TO MEET ON A BIWEEKLY BASES. IN ADDITION TO ACHIEVING EACH GOAL THE TEAM WILL BE IN DEBATE FOR A REWARD.
REWARD(S)
THE MOST OUTSTANDING ARMED DRILL TEAM CADET WILL RECEIVE 20 EXTRA MERITS AS A REWARD. WHEN ARMED DRILL TEAM ACCOMPLISHES ALL BIWEEKLY GOALS SET EACH DRILL TEAM MEMBER WILL RECEIVE 10 ADDITIONAL MERITS DEPENDING ON EACH PRACTICE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION. AS AN ADDITIONAL REWARD WE WILL GAIN A PIZZA PARTY, BOWLING NIGHT, ETC. BASICALLY OF EVERYONES VOTE, AND YES WE WILL ALL BE REWARDED AS A TEAM AND NOT JUST A ONE MAN REWARD.
PROBATION
PROBATION ON ARMED DRILL TEAM WILL BE DIFFERENT THEN MOST. WHILE ON PROBATION YOU WILL STILL HAVE TO ATTEND MANDATORY PRACTICES, BUT UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR MERITS FOR THE TIME FRAME YOU HAVE BEEN ISSUED PROBATION FOR. ALSO IF YOU ARE ACTING UP WHILE ON PROBATION YOU WILL ADD ANOTHER DAY PLUS 10 DEMERITS EACH TIME SPOKEN TO.
WHEN YOU ARE APPOINTED THE MOST OUTSTANDING CIVIL ENGINEERING AFTER WORKING YOU WILL RECEIVE 20 EXTRA MERITS.
THE 7 BASIC RESPONSES MUST BE USED DURING ARMED DRILL TEAMS PRACTICES.

ONCE THE ENTIRE FORMATION HAS CHANGED DIRECTION AND DRESS, COVER, INTERVAL, AND DISTANCE ARE REESTABLISHED, FORWARD, MARCH WILL BE GIVEN. ON THE COMMAND MARCH,THE LEADING AIRMAN OF THE RIGHT (LEFT) FLANK ADVANCES ONE FULL 24INCH STEP, PIVOTS 45 DEGREES TO THE RIGHT (LEFT) ON THE BALL OF THE LEFT (RIGHT) FOOT, AND ADVANCES ANOTHER FULL 24-INCH STEP, MAINTAINING COORDINATED ARM SWING. THE AIRMAN THEN TAKES UP THE HALF STEP AND CONTINUES IN A HALF STEP UNTIL EACH MEMBER IN HIS OR HER RANK IS ABREAST OF EACH OTHER. THEN ALL MEMBERS OF THAT RANK RESUME A FULL 24-INCH STEP. IN THE MEANTIME, THE REMAINING INDIVIDUALS OF THE LEADING RANK PIVOT 45 DEGREES TO THE RIGHT (LEFT), WITH COORDINATED ARM SWING
AND WITHOUT CHANGING THE INTERVAL, AND CONTINUE MARCHING IN FULL 24-INCH STEPS UNTIL THEY ARE ABREAST OF THE BASE FILE. AT THIS POINT, THEY CONFORM TO THE STEP OF THE INDIVIDUAL IN THE RIGHT (LEFT) FLANK AND ESTABLISH THE PROPER INTERVAL. THE REMAINING AIRMEN IN EACH FILE MARCH TO THE APPROXIMATE PIVOT POINT ESTABLISHED BY THE ELEMENT LEADER AND PERFORM THE MOVEMENT IN THE SAME MANNER. THEY THEN DRESS TO THEIR RIGHT AND COVER DIRECTLY BEHIND THE PERSON IN FRONT OF THEM. THE FLIGHT COMMANDER AND GUIDE PIVOT 45 DEGREES IN THE DIRECTION OF THE MOVEMENT. THEN THEY PIVOT 45 DEGREES BACK TO THEIR ORIGINAL POSITIONS IN FRONT OF THE COLUMN. WHEN COLUMN HALF RIGHT (LEFT) IS EXECUTED FROM A HALT, THE PROCEDURES ARE THE SAME AS DESCRIBED IN PARAGRAPHS 4.12.1 AND 4.12.2 ABOVE EXCEPT, ON THE COMMAND OF EXECUTION, THE ELEMENT LEADERS BEGIN THE MOVEMENT BY EXECUTING A FACE IN MARCHING TO THE INDICATED DIRECTION. TO EXECUTE A SLIGHT CHANGE OF DIRECTION, THE COMMAND INCLINE TO THE RIGHT (LEFT) IS GIVEN. THE GUIDE OR GUIDING ELEMENT MOVES IN THE INDICATED DIRECTION, AND THE REST OF THE ELEMENT FOLLOWS. THERE IS NO PIVOT IN THIS MOVEMENT.

COLUMN FORMATION. TO ALIGN THE FLIGHT IN COLUMN, THE COMMAND IS COVER. ON THIS COMMAND, EVERYONE EXCEPT THE GUIDE ADJUSTS BY TAKING SMALL CHOPPY STEPS IF NEEDED AND ESTABLISHES DRESS, COVER, INTERVAL, AND DISTANCE. THE LEADING INDIVIDUAL OF EACH FILE (EXCLUDING THE BASE FILE) OBTAINS THE PROPER INTERVAL (NORMAL OR CLOSE). THE BASE FILE ESTABLISHES AND MAINTAINS A 40-INCH DISTANCE. ALL OTHERS ALIGN THEMSELVES BESIDE THE INDIVIDUAL TO THEIR RIGHT AND BEHIND THE INDIVIDUAL IN FRONT OF THEM. INVERTED COLUMN FORMATION. THE SAME COMMAND AND PROCEDURES USED TO REESTABLISH DRESS, COVER, INTERVAL, AND DISTANCE WHILE IN COLUMN FORMATION ARE USED IN INVERTED COLUMN.
