MICROSOFT WORD PROJECT

Deadline: January 24, 2008 (7:00P) THURS

Requirements:
1. Create an autobiography-magazine using Microsoft Word.
2. Must have a magazine cover page and a table of contents.
3. Must have 8-12 pages using short-sized bond paper (excluding cover page and criteria page)
4. Must be creative and unique from others. Contents may be acquired taken from online resources or
magazine/newspaper articles or you could make your own content.
5. Must contain the following MS Word formatting:

Text Formatting 10 pts.

Justification, Paragraph Margins, Indents and Line Spacing 5 pts.
Bullets and Numbered Lists 5 pts.
Header and Footer (includes page numbering) 5 pts.
Note: Name, Subject and Section should be placed either on header or footer of every page
Tables 10 pts.
Columns, Drop Caps 5 pts.
Page & Text borders 5 pts.
Footnotes or Endnotes 5 pts.
Graphics, WordArt, Pictures 10 pts.
Total: 60 pts.

5. Create a criteria page containing the following criteria:

- Microsoft Word Tools

-Overall Criteria
**Don’t forget to add an extra column with a heading “My Score”

6. Save your project document file as <family_name>WordProject

(ex. BanayWordProject.doc). Prinouts should be compiled in a WHITE CLEAR plastic folder.
7. Softcopy (doc file) must also be submitted to your instructor through email attachment on or before the
indicated project deadline.

Overall Criteria in grading the project:

Extensive Use of MS Word tools 60
Creativity & Originality 20
Compliance to the requirements 20
TOTAL: 100

Note:
• 80% of the project should be done in the lab. Failure to do so will affect points that correspond to
compliance to the requirements.
• Grade will NOT be affected if project is printed in black and white.
• Failure to follow specific instructions indicated in this handout will be subject to point deductions from the
criteria “Compliance to the requirements.”
• Late projects (Printouts or softcopy) will have a deduction of 5 points for each day that passes after the
deadline (including weekends)
