ABSTRACT
This study examined and identified the academic factor that affects the Related Learning
Experience (RLE) performance of the fourth year nursing student of Our Lady of Fatima
University for school year 2008-2009. It also explored and correlated grades as variables to the
academic factors that affect it.
The researchers gathered data by conducting survey among the 50 4th year nursing
students.
Using questionnaire as their primary tool, the respondents had been asked to answer the
questionnaire. Additionally, photocopied grades given by the clinical instructors and level
coordinators were also collected to serve as the researchers data. The result showed that there was
no significant relationship between the academic factor and the RLE performance of the students.
v
There was no significant difference between the performance of the students during their Lecture
class hours and during their hospital duty hours.
