s un jardn botnico ubicado a las orillas de la ciudad de San Cristbal de las Casas. El propsito de Orqudeas Moxviquil es preservar la flora chiapaneca en peligro de extincin. En 1994 inici la gran hazaa de Craig Robert Dietz Cisco, quien comenz con el rescate de ejemplares de orqudeas en sitios perturbados por actividades humanas. En 2002 Pronatura Sur formaliz la coleccin al registrarla como Orqudeas Moxviquil (OM) a travs de una unidad de manejo Ambiental (UMA), mecanismo definido por el estado mexicano para realizar el manejo de vida silvestre. Al entrar a OM, vers y sentirs una enorme tranquilidad, el lugar tiene un diseo alterno, limpio, cmodo y fresco. La naturaleza en su expresin artstica, un toque de Cisco. Si corres con suerte el propio Craig Cisco, te dar la bienvenida y te guiar por Orqudeas Moxviquil, te contar como inicio este proyecto y hasta de ms, de una forma tan amigable, que no te querrs ir de ah. Despus Cisco te dar una introduccin al orquideario, y te dejar ah, para que t puedas observar, tocar y oler. Al salir podrs seguir caminando y explorar los senderos naturales donde encontrars diversas plantas endmicas en su entorno natural.

Es importante que lleves ropa cmoda, zapatos cmodos, preferentemente tenis o zapatos para tierra. El acceso tiene un costo de $20.00 por persona (pero Cisco te regala una pequea foto de orqudeas). Bsico llevar cmara fotogrfica.
