In Brazil, Latin Americas largest economy, President Dilma Rousseff is garnering plenty of praise among local and foreign investors for her policies. Her counterpart in Argentina, Cristina Kirchner is less popular among executives. But which women are setting their mark in Latin Americas fast-growing business sector? The editorial staff of Latin Business Chronicle has selected 50 of them in our second annual list of Latin Americas top businesswomen.

Adriana Cisneros Vice Chairman and Director of Strategy Cisneros Group of Companies Cisneros is a key executive at Venezuelas Cisneros Group of Companies, one of the largest privately held media, entertainment, telecommunications and consumer products organizations in the world. Cisneros works closely with her father, Cisneros Chairman Gustavo Cisneros, in managing operations and in developing strategy for the Group as a whole. She is also the General Manager of Tropicalia, a Cisneros Group luxury real estate project in the Dominican Republic. Cisneros is also President of the Fundacin Cisneros, which supports a range of charitable and humanitarian efforts in Latin America and in Hispanic communities worldwide. She received a masters degree in journalism from New York University in 2005 and a bachelors degree from Columbia University in 2002.
