Lionsgate partners with Scribd for National Literacy Month

September 1, 2011 We are so excited to be, together with Scholastic and DonorsChoose.org, partnering with Lionsgate for National Literacy Month, and promote the wonders of reading. We're releasing the second chapter of Suzanne Collins bestselling book, The Hunger Games, exclusively on Scribd, for everyone to read for free! We worked with Lionsgate to build a new app that will allow you to read this exciting chapter directly on Facebook and share it with all your friends across social networks.

Not only that, anyone who reads "The Hunger Games" exclusive excerpt on Scribd or Facebook will be given a chance to enter to win a library of books for a DonorsChoose.org public school! The new film by Lionsgate, "The Hunger Games," which is, of course, based on this exciting novel, will be in theaters March 23, 2012.
