SAMPLE Lagundi leaves consist of dried leaves and flowering tops of Vitex negundo L. (Fam. Verbenaceae) Weight: 4.000 grams Sample pre-treatment: the sample is dried and reduced to powder. II. III. Weigh the flask Shake, stand for 1hr Cool and weigh Reflux and boil for 1 hr Cool and weigh Readjust to the original weigh of water Shake and filter (dry) Residue Filtrate Transfer 25.0mL to tared, flat bottomed dish Place in water bath, evaporate to dryness Dry at 105, 6hours Cool in desiccators, 30mins Weigh w/out delay Compute for the water-soluble extractives
