Staffing is the function by which managers build an organizations through the recruitment, selection, and development of individuals as capable employees.

NATURE: Staffing is pervasive activity. Staffing is a continuous activity. Staffing helps in placing right person at a right job. Staffing is performed by all managers.

Filling organizational positions. Developing competencies. Retaining personnel.

1) The staffing of new organizations will follow uniform principles and processes regardless of the functional area affected in order to assure equity of treatment to affected populations. 2)A communications program will accompany each organizational change in order to keep affected employees informed about the staffing processes.
