Should the USA Government Legalize Prostitution?

Legal Abuse
I believe that prostitution is a demand market created by people who buy and sell a woman s and a child s sexuality for their own profit and pleasure. This occupation is consuming thousands of women and children, reaping enormous profits for organized crime around the world. The lack of opportunities and money is the major cause that in too many cases causes women and children to throw themselves into this nightmare in the desperate search of a better life. We live in a society where countless thousands of women and children are trafficked from rich and poor countries worldwide. The sex trade is a form of contemporary slavery and all indications predict its growth and expansion into the 21st century. I strangely believe that by legalizing prostitutions will be increase the criminalization of women and children in the trade for several reasons. The first reason why I believe that by legalizing prostitution will increase the criminalization of women in trade is because under certain conditions it is permissible to

exploit and abuse women. For example, the majority of the prostitute s environment is a lot of violence. I believe that if the government decides to approve this law, the hostile work environment will be more risky for many women because being under control of pimps, traffickers or violence clients are not safe place to be. These women run the risk of being exposed to repeated beatings and/or rape. And what kind of protection will these women and children receive? Many of these victims (women & children) refuse to talk or complain about their situation for the simple reason that their pimps will punish them or worse for losing them (the pimps). Most women who enter the industry do so before the age of 16 and are subjected to a wide range of abuse both emotional and physical.

The second reason why I believe that by legalizing prostitution will increase the criminalization of women in trade is that it will open the doors to recruited and trafficked children in the black market industry. Human trafficking is an international problem where men, women, and children are victimized through force, fear, or threats and sometimes can influence the lack of money and opportunities. For example, countries such as Thailand and the Philippines are plagued with pedophiles from people around the world, they go to these countries because there is an easy access to young boys and girls to sexually exploit; the majority of these children come from families that are not able to support their families as a consequence they sell their children for a little money.. If the government decides to approve this law we will see many young lives damaged beyond repair. No one local government can resolve the issue of prostitution; it s an issue that must be addressed internationally in order to save lives

The final reason why I believe that by legalizing prostitution will increase the criminalization of women in trade is that it does not guarantee safety from spread of STDs. Prostitution causes extreme harm to the body and the mind; prostitutes have the higher risk of contracting diseases because the sex that they practice in some of the cases are not safe, with a lesser chance of accessing good health care. For example, Women and children are particularly vulnerable in the sex industry sometime they are force to have sex without any protection; if they do not do it, they can got kill. By legalizing it, will be open the way to establish red-light zone or areas around the nation. It is not difficult to imagine what their social impact would be and how many women and children would willingly work it those areas without any health guarantee. As I concluded, it is beyond doubt that sex is an essential need for humans and it is as basic as eating food or drinking water. Moreover, a couple can t remain bonded if there isn t a healthy sexual relationship between them. On the other hand, the conditions under which women are brought into the sex industry are also not a hidden fact. These women are often abused and exploited and legalizing prostitution will only add to the suffering of these poor women.
