Hospital-based: Sara is an intelligent, hard-working, and motivated student. She exhibited a strong desire to master the course content and meet the clinical objectives of this rotation. She consistently sought feedback and followed through on suggestions for improvement. Over time, her approach to learning became more organized; her written preparation for clinical became more complete and detailed. Sara delivered safe, quality nursing care to her patients, and they seemed to genuinely appreciate her kind and compassionate demeanor. She is aware that she should demonstrate mature and professional behavior at all times in the clinical setting. Possessing a friendly personality, she communicated with patients and members of the healthcare team in an effective manner. Though she demonstrated some performance anxiety, she steadily developed increased proficiency and self-confidence throughout her clinical experience. Her ability to assess patients logically and thoroughly also improved. Her correlation of classroom content to the clinical setting was on a level appropriate to her experience and knowledge base. It was very gratifying to observe Saras progress. She does need to work on time management and assessment skills, and she should continue to actively and assertively pursue opportunities to practice her psychomotor skills. It was a pleasure to have her in clinical. Home-based: Sara demonstrated creativity and enthusiasm in planning and implementing a healthy Tai qi exercise session at wellness fair. She shows a great deal of enthusiasm and professionalism while interacting with group members and residents. She exhibited thoughtful reflection and critical thinking in summarizing complete health history; made meaningful contributions to group discussions. She cares for the residents and has plans to work with the facility in the future.
