sure that you have installed Active Directory, along with exchange server of the corresponding domain. Procedure: Step 1: First of all open the exchange server menu from the start up menu, and check if the tab of Chat Community has been installed.

Step 2: You can alter the default chat community or can create a new chat community. In this the default chat community is being used. Open the default chat community and create a new channel, which is in accordance with creating a new chat room

Step 3: Type the name of the chat channel, type the description, and check the create this channel when service starts box in order to automatically start this chat room. Please ensure that in order to write the name of the channel, it should begin with #, %, & or %#.

Step 4 : You can configure other tab properties like access, Security, modes, messages and extensions. But the important one is access tab. Select this tab

and modify accordingly and the chat channel is created. Step 5: now we have to add this chat channel to the server. Thus open the server protocols tab add select ICRX

Step 6: open its properties and add the default chat community created.

Step 7: in the next windows check the enable server to host this chat community box and assign the ip address of the server to this box

Step 8: now check the chat service from the service menu in the administrative tools.

Step 9: now in order to use this chat service download a client chat software, for example MSCHAT from the internet and install on the client computers. Start MSCHAT

enter the server name or ip and enter the name of chat channel, in this case #Test and the chat windows opens
