FOREWORD
"OPGCs vision is to become a leading profitable power utility by ensuring safe, environmentally responsible, commercially prudent, reliable and efficient power generation. To achieve this vision, it is essential to excel in the Operation and Maintenance of IB Thermal Power station. Our O&M team has brought out a Technical Diary compiling the technical details of the plant like design data, interlocks and protections, permissives covering all functions of the plant. It has been seen that a handy technical diary can serve as a valuable reference for use of plant personnel. I appreciate the efforts of the O&M team, in particular Shri P.K.Dora, for bringing out this edition of the Technical Diary in the shortest possible time. "

Sankaran Subramaniam DIRECTOR (OPERATION)

MESSAGE

"I'm happy and proud once more that OPGC is ready with a techncal document, i which is going to serve the long felt need of people to have a handy technical reference on the Ib Thermal Power Station. My sincere thanks to Mr.P.K Dora and his team for the hard work they have put in to make this possible.

Anil K. Gupta, Advisor, AES

MESSAGE

It is my pleasure to know that a technical diary of ITPS being brought out by the in house effort of our own staffs. This technical diary contains plant data, equipment design specifications, interlocks and protections. I hope this will be of great help as a reference hand book to all the employees.
