Note: To enter Class A airspace you are required to have an IFR rated ship, ATC clearance, 2-Way Radio, Mode C Transponder and an
instrument rating in the category, class and type (if needed) being flown.
* Student Pilots may operate in Class B with proper training and endorsement.
** A Two-Way Radio is required for entering controlled airspace.
*** Mode C transponder is required in all airspaces when flying at or above 10,000' MSL and above 2,500' AGL and within
the 30 NM Mode C Vale of Class B.

FAR 91.157 Special VFR (Helicopters):

If weather at your arrival / departure airport is below VFR minimums or the ceiling is less than 1,000’ (reported) then we can request Special VFR.

To receive Special VFR in controlled airspace we must:

• Request it from ATC; and
• Remain Clear of Clouds (other than Helicopters requires 1 SM flight visibility and remain Clear of Clouds)

Note: Helicopters can request SVFR day or night and we must use our best judgement to determine if the conditions are safe to fly in.
