Result? The result of AMIE examinations is declared after 12 weeks of end of examination.
Evaluation system? Grading system, instead of marks grading system shall be followed for
evaluation of all elements of the revised scheme. For a complete pass in Section A or in Section
B, minimum GPA shall be 6 (Grade C). More details on our website.
Project work/Lab Exp.? Project work and sessional work on laboratory experiments are
compulsory and shall be evaluated. A candidate shall be eligible for project work and sessional
work on laboratory experiments (ten experiments) only after securing minimum grade ‘C’ (50 -
59 % marks) in any 5 (five) subjects in an engineering branch of Section B.
Changing Exam centre? Just write down code of centre of your choice while filling up
examination form. Also enclose an application stating why are you changing exam centre.
Admit card? Admit card will not be despatched at your home address. This should be collected
from your examination centre on the day of examinations. You can also take print of admit card
from website www.ieindia.org at least one week before start of exams. Take this to exam
centre with identity card. You can not appear in exams without identity card & admit card.

CGPA System for AMIETE Exams

1. For each subject examination including lab, project & seminar students will be
awarded grade and grade points (instead of absolute marks), as given below:

2. CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) will be calculated as under only for the

3. The final result will indicate the division/class as under:-

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR COURSE
Q. How effective your postal course is?
A. Ours is a result oriented course, and is highly effective. We know that it works. The effectiveness of
the course depends on whether you make use of the lessons and assignments. The degree of
effectiveness would vary with factors beyond our control, such as the extent to which you make use of
them - just as what happens when you go to university. So we cannot guarantee cent percent marks.
But as far as we are concerned, we are absolutely convinced that this course is capable of helping you
achieve extremely good marks provided you read it from first page to last page.

Q. Why I should join your postal course, why not book?

A. Well, this a very interesting question. You know, generally a book covers syllabus of all the
engineering colleges in India to augment the sale of the book. In other words, books are not focused
according to AMIE/AMIETE Examinations. So you have to put extra efforts to make notes from the
book so as to make it useful for your purpose. In this process you waste your precious time. Novelty of
our course is that it is focussed. Focussed on AMIE/AMIETE Examinations. And we stay focussed on

Q. What is the purpose of your evaluation programme(self assessment test series)?

A. In our evaluation programme we send you postal test papers which contains those questions which

may perform well in the examinations also. Also the outcome of these test indicates the level of your
preparation. If you have not performed well in these tests then it means that you need to study more.

Q. Would I face any difficulty studying this postal course by myself?

A. This is a self study course. And so this course is meant for those AMIE/AMIETE aspirants who are
willing to study on their own - without being instructed by someone else. And our study materials make
this quite easy to do. It is almost impossible that you face any difficulty understanding any topic. Here
are the reasons: (i) the lessons do not use language that is unclear or confusing. Notes are written in
simple English, easy to understand. They convey ideas from instructor’s mind to your mind quickly,
easily and accurately (ii) the topics the lessons deal with are well planned and well organized (iii) the
lessons do not tell you things in a hurry or leave you wondering what they mean. They explain

Can I get admission in M.E./M.Tech courses after completing AMIE/AMIETE?

Yes, after completing AMIE/AMIETE, you can apply for GATE entrance examination for getting
admission in M.E./M.Tech courses in various universities/engineering colleges. Candidates will
be required to appear in a single paper of three hours duration. The examination will be held
on second Sunday of February from 0930 to 1230 hrs. The notification for GATE is generally
published in October in leading newspapers. Getting good score in GATE opens gateway to
higher education with attractive scholarship. GATE qualified candidates( in Engineering
subjects) will also be eligible for the award of Junior Research Fellowship in CSIR Laboratories.
After having a valid GATE score, an AMIE/AMIETE should apply for admission to postgraduate
programmes in individual institutions, at appropriate time. Admissions of candidates to
postgraduate programmes will be governed by the rules and regulations of individual
institutions to which they apply. An AMIE/AMIETE should also be equipped with migration
certificate which can be obtained from the last institution attended by you.
