Knowing the Camera
The webcam requires no driver installations to run on windows XP or later. Simply plug in the camera and start video
chatting! You don’t need to worry about downloading or bringing your drivers along!

Hardware Installation (Launching the camera on XP or Later)

the camera.
2. The camera is plug and play on windows XP or later. No driver is required. If you would like to use additional
functions on the camera, please install the software (enclosed on the CD) first, and ensure your computer system
having USB 2.0 high-speed capability.
3. When using the camera, don’t forcibly rotate the lens. This will damage the internal wire and make your camera
unavailable.

How to know if your computer has USB 2.0?
Step 1: Select “Control Panel” on your computer
Step 2: Double-click “System”
Step 3: Click the “Hardware” tab
Step 4: Click the “Device Manager” button
Step 5: Within the Device Manager, click the “Universal Serial Bus
Controllers” folder.
Step 6: If in the list of controllers you see the word "Enhanced", the system has USB 2.0 high-speed capability.
Troubleshooting
Question 1: Computer can’t detect the webcam
Solving Method: Check if computer’s OS (Operating System), BIOS, USB Port or installation error occurs.
Steps: Windows 95 doesn’t support USB port. You have to update your OS to Windows 2000 or above to support USB port and
ensure BIOS Setup and USB settings are available. If the problem still occurs, please try connecting the A4TECH PC camera
to your machine via another USB socket.
Question 6:How come I couldn’t hear any sound via MSN Messenger even after the successful installation of the driver?
1) Maybe the micro voice is not enable, so please click the voice icon in the system tray at the right bottom of computer
screen to check if the micro voice is enable, if not, please enable it in the control volume.
2) Sometimes, the MSN messenger is too old to support both sound card and your A4TECH PC camera, so please upgrade your MSN
messenger to support your A4TECH PC camera and sound card.
