Tech. / MPUD (Modular) Programme in various disciplines at different study centers of G.B. Technical University, Lucknow. Application must be sent on the prescribed format along with a demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favour "Finance Officer, G.B. Technical University” payable at Lucknow as registration fee. Last date for receipt of applications is May 25, 2011. ADMISSION PROCEDURE 1. Admission 1.1 Gautam Buddh Technical University, Lucknow (henceforth called University) will permit admission to M. Tech. / MPUD (Modular) programmes at various study centers of the University. 1.2 University will award the M. Tech. / MPUD degree. 1.3 Admission to M. Tech. / MPUD (Modular) First semester will be made as per the rules prescribed by the Academic Council of the University. 1.4 Reservation in admission shall be governed as per State Govt. rules. The decision of Vice Chancellor for filling up vacant seats, if any, shall be final in case on non availability of suitable candidates in any category. 2. Courses Offered The courses offered, with maximum capacity of 30 seats in each course, by the University leading to various M. Tech. / MPUD degrees (Modular) are given as under: 1. M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engg. M. Tech. in Digital Communication M. Tech. in VLSI Design M. Tech. in Microwave Engg. M. Tech. in Electrical & Electronics Engg. M. Tech. in Mechanical Engg. Master Planning and Urban Development for Architecture faculty. NOARYON Duration of programme shall be three years.3. Eligibility Criterion: M. Tech. / MPUD (Modular) Programme in the field of Engineering are mainly designed for the regular faculty members from Engineering Institutions affiliated to University and also to the faculty of polytechnics of U.P. to upgrade their qualification and knowledge base and obtain formal degree in the area of interest. The applicant must have at least: (i) For General/OBC candidates 60% in B.Tech. | B. Arch. or equivalent. (ii) | For SC/ST candidates 55% in B.Tech. / B. Arch. or equivalent. (iii) Candidates having 60% of marks & Valid GATE SCORE for General/OBC or 55% of marks & Valid GATE SCORE for SC/ST candidates will be given preference in admission. The eligibility criterions given above are minimum. University may prescribe any other requirement over and above these conditions, subject to the approval of the Academic Council. The equivalency of any course, if required, will be decided by university. 4, Selection Procedure 4.1 Admission to M.Tech. / MPUD (Modular) programme shall be based on merit of interview. University reserves the right to impose a certain cut-off percentage of marks (to be decided at the time of declaration of result). 4.2 The list of selected candidates will be displayed at University website www.uptu.ac.in within one week from the date of interview. 4.3 Merit list, on the basis of choice and performance of the candidates, will be prepared for each programme separately. 4.4 If sufficient member of candidate are not found suitable for a course, the course shall not be started for this academic session 4.5 The number of seats, programmes and/or study center may change as per the recommendations of committee appointed by the Vice Chancellor. 4.6 The study centers shall be allotted as per the merit of interview. 5. Course Fee: Rs. 19,000/- (Rs. Nineteen Thousand) per semester (Excluding fooding & lodging), Rs. 1,500/- as semester examination Fee and Rs. 100/- as Enrollment Fee except Architecture faculty which will be communicated later. Selected candidates must make a Demand Draft of Rs. 20,600/- in favour of Finance Officer, G.B. Technical University, Lucknow. Charges for Fooding & lodging shall be as actual.6. Documents Required The candidates are required to bring the following documents at study center in original along with one set of photocopy with them at the time of admission: a. High School Certificate. b. Mark sheets of qualifying examination. c. Valid GATE Score Card d. SC/ST certificate, if applicable. e. Passport size Photos. (3 Nos.) f. Relieving certificate to attend the programme. 7. General Information 1. Applications must be sent through their Employers. Advance copy of the application shall be accepted. Incomplete applications will be rejected. The candidates have to furnish no objection certificate from the employer at the time of admission. 2, No TA / DA will be admissible to the candidates called for the interview and/or admission. 3. The decision of University for the selection of candidates shall be final. 4.
