- Piece of paper and a marker for each group (x 6)

Time Frame/ Class Management: 15-20 minutes

Description of Activity:
- Ask students to assemble into 6 groups of 4. Have them in six different
areas of the gym
- In the middle of the gym place the activity cards
- Instruct that’s student’s objective is to get as many letters of the
alphabet completed by doing the required activity on the flash card
- Each group will number themselves one to four. The first person is
required to walk fast (not run) to the center of the gym and pick a flash
card. They quickly walk back to their group and tell them what the
action is (i.e.: jumping jacks). They then record that letter on their
piece of paper and the group begins to do this action as group member
#2 goes to get another card.
- This activity goes on for about 15 minutes, observation will determine
when the students have enough letters recorded on their paper
- Students are then instructed to finish their last physical exercise and
write their names at the top of their paper and hand them in to the
teacher
- Extension: Students will take their letters back to class and see who
can make the most words out of what they completed in this task.
