ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR PG PROGRAMS OF STUDY – 2011 
Admission to 2 year M.Tech / 3 years M.Sc‐M.Tech programs as per table below shall be carried out through (a) valid GATE 
scores (b) PGET 2011 to be conducted by the JIIT, Noida. Candidates with low GATE score, who do not come in the merit for 
selection under GATE category shall automatically be considered for PGET‐2011 & therefore must attend the test accordingly. 
PGET‐2011 shall be conducted at JIIT Noida on June 11, 2011 at 1100 hrs.  
The total number of seats and eligibility criteria are detailed below. The candidate is expected to have appeared in a GATE 
paper  appropriate  to  the  discipline  of  his/her  qualifying  degree.  However,  in  case  of  clash  the  eligibility  criteria  as 
mentioned against each program shall take precedence over the GATE stream while considering admission into a particular 
program.

@  There shall be no direct admission to these  M Tech programs and students shall be considered for these programs  based on their performance at the 
end of Ist year of MSc in respective subjects. Further, the merit for these programs shall be drawn on PGET‐2011 (60%) and B.Sc/B.Tech scores (40%). 
FEE STRUCTURE 
Tuition Fee        Rs. 35,000 per semester (Subject to revision) 
 
Teaching Assistantship 
Teaching  assistantship  is  available  to  selected  students  based  on  merit  drawn  as  per  University  rules  @  Rs. 
8000/‐ to Rs. 10000/‐ per month.
