Tutorial 2

There are many options available on the properties inspector for text. This tutorial
basically defines the options.

Practical on Text / Also You can try onto graphic / Picture

• Creating a Fading Text Transition

1. Select text tool from tool bar and write the word text1 on the stage
2. Use selection tool and right click to the text1 and convert it to the symbol –movie clip
and name as text1.
3. Highlight frame 40 of layer 1, insert keyframes (F6) and click on the picture go to the
effects panel (Color) and select alpha = 0.
4. Highlight frame 1 of layer 1, then right click and create motion tween.
5. Ctrl+Enter to play the movie.

Creating rotating text Also You can try onto graphic / Picture
Insert a new layer, rename it rotateText, then press enter
Insert a keyframes in frame 21 on the rotate text layer
Click text tool on the tools panel and type the word Hello
Click the Selection tool on the Tools panel, click Insert on the menu bar point to Timeline
then click Create Motion Tween

Click Frame 21 on the rotate Text layer, click the rotate list arrow in the property
inspector, click CW drag the pointer to select 1 in the times text box, then type 2.
Insert keyframes in Frames 40 and 80 on the rotateText layer
Play the movie.

Creating a Simple Zoom Effect Also You can try onto graphic /
Picture
Open or create a new document

2) Create a shape or text which you want to make the zoom out of.

3) Convert it to a symbol by selecting "Insert" and scroll down to "Convert to Symbol".

4) In the new dialog box that appears choose "Graphic" and click okay, to close the
window.

5) Now select the symbol and click on frame 20 on the timeline toolbar and right click.

6) On the new menu which appears choose "Insert Keyframes"

Now go back to frame one on the timeline go to the top of your screen and choose
Modify and scroll down to Transform and over to Scale and Rotate

8) In the new dialog box which appears choose scale and key 20. In the rotate leave it at
zero, and select ok.

9) Now you are ready to insert the tween. To do this select frame one right click and
choose Insert Motion Tween.

10) Now you will have a zooming shape and text.
