1. Document Purpose

The purpose of this document is to describe the basic configuration steps of IP-10
through the CLI interface radio link.

2. Document Scope

This document describes the recommended initial steps in order to connect and
manage IP-10 radio link through the CLI Interface. It includes the configuration steps
of the following main sections:
• Connecting to IDU using default factory setup
• Launching the hyper terminal
• SW Upgrade
• License key activation
• Basic parameters configuration

3. Startup Configuration Steps

Basic configuration includes the following basic steps:


1. Complete physical HW installation of IDU, IF coax cable, RFU and antenna as per
installation instructions.
2. Connect PC to IDU and Launch the Hyper terminal.
3. Upgrade IDU SW.
4. Load license key.
5. Configure radio link parameters.
6. Complete link commissioning.

Getting Started
To log in to the CLI:
1. Power on your PC.
2. Make sure that your PC is connected to the management port on the front panel of
the IP-10 unit.
3. For a first-time login, use the following:
User: admin
Password: admin
Note: When using the Hyper Terminal, you should set the terminal speed (in your PC
terminal
Configuration) to 115200 kpbs. In addition, it is recommended to select the VT-100
terminal type and set the
Terminal size to 24 rows, 80 columns.

1. Check the IP Address
