A short note activism.

We do not use the words activist or activism as terms we would consider applicable to us. The usage of
such terms existed, in my observations, because as we began to work together, the minumum basis to
our collaborative fuctioning in the Oscar Grant Committee was solely activism.
Each considered oneself revolutionary. As we came to realize these traits amongst ourselves, as a
group, a discussion was initiated toward defining ourselves as revolutionaries as opposed to activists
and rejective of the label activist.

In short we clearly see the role of a revolutionary as being a force that seeks to completely break the
bonds of oppression that lay hold over us today in racist American Capitalism. Toward Socialism. An
activist a reformatory chain loosener, one that seeks to reform capitalism and seeks not its destruction
but to put make up on it.
