1. Compute descriptive statistics on the variables Age, Earns and Wealth data (use
the data in the file Crossec.xls. From the output, identify the following:
a. Skewness
b. Mean
c. Standard Deviation
d. Kurtosis
And explain the finding.
2. Create a histogram to show the distribution of the Age, Earns and Wealth data and
explain the finding. By using the appropriate test of normality, did the data
significant? (hint: show the hypothesis). Edit the graph so that the normal curve
is visible and there are 5 intervals. Explain.
3. Create boxplots showing the distribution of the Age, Earns and Wealth for the two
Race groups and explain the finding. Is there any outlier?
4. Conduct an independent –sample t test to evaluate the Age, Earns and Wealth on
Race. Report the t values and the p values assuming equal population variances
and not assuming equal population variances. Why? What did the Levene’s test
evaluate?
6. The minister wants to know how well do Size, Race, Region, Earns, Wealth and
Saving predict Income of the Oil Palm Smallholders. Conduct the appropriate
regression analysis to answer these question. (consider the multicollinearity,
autocorrelation, heteroscedasticity, residual linearity)
